Students everywhere have to dissect animals. This is cruel and unneeded.
I believe that there should be alternatives to dissection available to students.
Anti-vivisectionists have played roles in the emergence of the animal welfare and animal rights movements. Among their arguments is that it is immoral to inflict pain or injury to another living creature, for whatever purpose.
We, the undersigned, demand that the U.S. Government create a law that requires all public school districts to provide alternatives to dissection.
