A porch has been built on the front of our house to store the equipment belonging to a 25 year old lad who has had special needs since he was 2 years old.

Due to health and safety laws permitted to protect his carer and the lack of storage space within the house itself we cannot store his equipment inside, and the council want to pull it down. They wish us to use the back yard but again the council has failed to take health and safety into consideration because, the electric wheelchair is a fire hazard within the home due it's power battery, him and his family would lose a fire exit to there home leaving them with only 1, and the yard itself is smaller than 2 metre square and would not fit all the equipiment which includes a manual wheelchair, an electric wheelchair, a chair-come-standing-frame and a portable hoist.

Plus the council said we could put our rubbish and recycling resources would be out on the back street, which is a public highway, therefore giving the council rights to fine us a large sum of money. Please sign this petition and help us to overturn our council's decision.
