I want to remind everyone that this country was born to escape tyranny and the constitution was made for everyone to be equal. Not for big corporations to do what they will over the majority of people and have effects on people that aren't kept in check.

The process of eminent domain should reflect the use of the land to benefit the public and not a few individuals. Some meetings held with corporations were done without the public and in the hands of a few who are elected by the people. Any industry that can environmentally impact should be open to review by the public as well for approval.

Events such as the 890 earthquakes that happened in 2015, which were above a maginitude of 3.0 in Oklahoma is not normal for that state. They have evidence connected to the wells about the uptick of seismic activity from 2014-2016. Also the 4.4 magnitude earthquake of Fox Creek, Alberta which is a fracking town with wells everywhere. Also here at home in 2014, Greeley reported a 3.4 magnitude earthquake less then two miles away from wells. Investigation was started, but after the pressure was turned down at the wells, everything was covered up.

This industry needs better regulations and standards. Especially when other industries are held accountable when they impact people in a negative way. This industry has a record of cleaning up incidents and not improving their practices to avoid further incidents in the future. Also they need to be more open to the public and not keep information away.

All in all, we do not seek to take the risk because of every word stated above. We seek to work more with our elected officials instead of waiting to expect what next is to come from legislation that might impact our lives dearly and not necessarily help anyone except wealthy corporations with bad practices.

We the undersigned, call on Boulder County to take away fracking practices and extend the moratorium to stay in place indefinitely.
