The recent 2008 Tibet unrest has led to an explosion in western reporting with a definite Anti-China undertone, as exemplified by the use of distorted facts and inappropriate images in "respected" western media organisations such as CNN and the BBC.

These reports often contained unsubstantiated claims and prejudicial undertones. Most reports were taken from minority views from Tibetan separatist organisations rather than taking a broad range of views and perspectives.

The credibility of these media organisations were further undermined by political incorrectness - using the word "Chinese" instead of "Han Chinese" etc.

We call on all major western media organisations to cease reporting on the 2008 Tibet issue and other related issues (eg Olympic Games) in a manner which contains Anti-China undertones by using distorted facts and misleading images. Also we believe that these organisations should cease broadcasting content which is prejudicial towards the views and actions of minority Tibetan separatists - content which is portraying these people as only innocent victims.

We ask for these media organisations, in fairness to other groups and their perspectives, to report with greater impartiality by looking at the issues involved from a vast range of perspectives along with accurate historical content.
