In order to get round current legislation, businesses are now using automated "information" calls to target the public.
These calls are a nuisance and you have no right of reply as the machine plays the message and then cuts off, you never actually get to speak to a real person. I receive on average 2 of these calls a day and find it unacceptable. How do you feel about it?
We the undersigned call on the UK government to outlaw the practice of businesses using automated machines with "information" recordings to call residential telephone numbers.
When we are disturbed by the telephone at home we expect there to be a real live, flesh and blood person on the other end wishing to speak to us, not a machine which plays the message, cuts off and allows the recipient of the call no right of reply to complain about the method of communication.
