Sly Cooper was a beloved franchise that started on the PlayStation 2 with Sly Cooper and the Thievius Racoonus. Since then the series has gone on to become critically acclaimed and generating 3 sequels: Sly 2: Band of Thieves, Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves, and Sly: Thieves in Time which went onto the PS3. Later on the original trilogy got an HD remaster for the PlayStation 3 entitiled The Sly Trilogy. The fourth one even got a port over to the PlayStation Vita which was able to connect to the PS3 edition of the game to trade items and such, much in the way the Wii U is used today. However the fourth one Thieves in Time (as we all know by now) ended with a cliffhanger. That was back in 2013. It is now 2017 and we still haven't gotten the resolution to the series that caps it off completely. In an interview the head of Sanzaru games (responsible for the collection and Thieves in Time) even admitted it ended in a cliffhanger and he wanted to "clean it up". So now it's up to us fans. Do we want a TRUE ending to one of gaming' most unique franchises?
What I need is you guys to sign the petition that way we can see if the games a possibility. I can't do it alone. However I think if we got enough people to back this thing up maybe there's a chance we can make this dream a reality. Plus it's perfect timing even. Crash Bandicoot is coming back with a remastered trilogy for the PS4 and even a group of the ex-Rare employees (responsible for Banjo-Kazooie, Donkey Kong Country, Goldeneye 007, Conker's Bad Fur Day and others) are making a platforming Banjo-Kazooie-esque game for the PS4 called Yooka-Laylee. So this is the perfect time for our racoon friend to come back to life on the PS4.
P.S. Just heard that Sony's OTHER obscure mascot (Ty the Tasmanian Tiger) will be getting a HD remake for PS4. Therefor making it THAT much more possible for Sly to get another chance to shine.
