The Goal: To demand that universities and schools provide students with improved training by teaching more up-to-date job search tools, including how to find and create a more competitive resume layout.
The Concern: It seems very clear that most schools aren’t actually teaching up-to-date job search skills and are actually teaching students to use only one kind of resume layout, and this is not going to help them stand out of from other applicants when they're looking for a job.
In our present job market, students won’t get too far in terms of finding work unless they receive enhanced education and better training on how to create a better resume. Our school system is limiting them with the narrow job search skills and tools taught and they already lack the experience and skills needed to find work.
The Proposed Answer: We can put extreme pressure on our school system in general by showing them how crucial it is for our new grads and students to be equipped with the proper job search skills and tools to help them succeed in their search for employment.
