We want to maintain the key and unique characteristic of Sherwood Forest: its magnificent evergreens.

In recent years, our neighborhood (and surroundings) has lost many such trees to business developments and individual property owners.

We find the existing Tree Removal regulations (as described in Development Services Handout L-8) to be insufficient.

We ask the City of Bellevue to pass an ordinance to protect and preserve our trees.

Such an ordinance should include the requirement for a permitting process that includes neighborhood notification, input, and city regulation oversight, prior to removal or major defoliation of any significant tree and requirements for tree replacement plans when removal is approved for commercial development projects.

We, the undersigned, request that the City of Bellevue pass an ordinance to protect our trees.
