Chris Hemsworth has departed the forthcoming "Star Trek 4" motion picture from Paramount Pictures. He was due to reprise the role of George Kirk, the father of James T. Kirk, that he played in the first Star Trek reboot in 2009.
We propose that original Kirk, William Shatner, be cast as George Kirk in his place. Sure, he's a bit older and thus any script currently written would have to be retooled. But this is Star Trek - there are always, possibilities. And what a way for Shatner to bookend his own trek through film and tv.
