Dr William Navin has worked as a Doctor for many years in Conventry, providing treatment for his patients in both a professional caring and compassionate manner.
He is now retired and about to the reach the age of 100 but will not get a birthday message from the queen (given to all people of this age) because the heritage of his birth place in Northern Ireland is in dispute, with 'pencil pushers' saying it is not technically classfied under the United Kingdom even though he has lived in coventry for the majorty of his life: even helping the injured in the bombings undertaken in coventry catherdral.
He has lived an amazing life and his compassion and courage and sense of duty has always shone through and provided hope to those in the best and bleakest of time.
Please take time to sign and support this petition as Bureaucracy should not stop an old man who loves his country and who has done so much for society from receiving the telegram from the queen that he is entitled to. It is not to much to ask for a lifetimes work a life to be appreciated.
We, the undersigned, call on the local goverment, and Buckingham palace to take actions and allow Dr William Navin the well wishes from the queen on his 100th birthday that he deserves.
