Alh Ahmed Adoke a 72 year old human rights activist, a war front reporter during the Nigerian civil war, community leader and a social critics from Kogi Central Senatorial district in Kogi State was framed up and arrested on charges of been involved in the kidnapping of a Judge in Kogi State on the 7th day of June 2015 and was not arraigned or charged to any court of law till 10thJuly 2015 (1 month 3 days after his arrest).
He was denied bail at the kogi State magistrate court, Lokojaand has since been remanded at the Kotonkarfi Medium Security Prison, Kogi State.
The continued detention of Alhaji Ahmed Adoke by the Kogi State Police Command and the Judiciary is an abuse of his fundamental human right and a case of victimization because he is being punished for a crime he did not commit.
