Seaford Harbor and Seaford Harbor School in particular, has been in need of a secondary access road for many years. Having only one road in and out of the area poses a real threat to those living in the area.
Nassau County approved signing off county-owned property to provide for this road, but residents voted it down in a referendum vote put out by the Seaford School district last year. However, Super Storm Sandy and the rebuilding efforts in its aftermath proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that this road is a necessity for survival.
Therefore. the residents demand that this access road be built for the safety and well being for the all the families, students, faculty and staff at the Seaford Harbor School as well as the businesses that the lack of this road impacts.
For the safety of students, parents, faculty and staff at the Seaford Harbor School, the undersigned residents demand that immediate action be taken to install a secondary access road between Bayview and Ionia Streets.
