This Tax, due to be implemented in April 2013, will only affect approximately 600,000 people in Social Housing.
I submit that this is an unfair tax, primarily on the grounds that the Revenue it will generate will not even make an appreciable dent in the Housing Benefit bill.
This is potentially forcing tenants out of their homes, often in cases where there is no suitable alternative available.
We, the undersigned, call on the Government to abolish the Underoccupancy Tax.
