This petition is being created to show the need for a paved path for pedestrians, strollers, etc. along Schantz Road between the intersecting streets of Lone Lane and Bastian Lane to allow safe access to Lone Lane Park for residents of Oakland Park. The increasingly busy traffic pattern on Schantz and Lone Lane roads have made it unsafe for foot, stroller, bike travel to the park. This neighborhood should have the option of safe access to its park without having to drive to the park.
We, the signers of the petition below, call upon Upper Macungie Township to provide a paved path for Oakland Park residents to safely access Lone Lane Park on Schantz Road between the intersecting streets of Bastian Lane and Lone Lane. Increased traffic patterns have made it unsafe for pedestrian access to the park, which should be accessible for residents by foot, bike, etc.
