This population includes residents of Newark's largest housing complex (Iv Hill Park Apartments), Senior citizens and disabled residents of St. Mary's Villa and other housing, as well as numerous small business owners operating in 5 surrounding business corridors.
This office is the ONLY office that is easily accessible to individuals in the area who depend on public transportation (NJ Transit #1 bus line.)
We, the undersigned individuals who reside and/or conduct business within the 07106 Postal Zip Code, do hereby call upon the United States Postmaster General, Inspector General and/or any other authorized parties, to reconsider and refrain from closing the Vailsburg Station of the Post Office located at 210 Stuyvesant Avenue in Newark, NJ.
