Through a Vacaville Reporter editorial, it has come to our attention that the bond holders of Vacaville Ice Sports building have requested the Planning Commission’s approval to modify zoning uses.
Currently, this facility supports two Ice Skating Rinks, a Gymnastics Center and recreational league sports, such as basketball and volleyball.
All of the current activities meet the existing recreational and fitness zoning category and are deemed appropriate for this location.
However, the bond holders are now asking for other uses to be considered such as general or medical offices and Research and Development businesses.
We, the undersigned, ask the Vacaville and surrounding Community to urge the Planning Commission to take all measures necessary to keep the facility zoned for recreational uses only.
