As of January 1, 2018, access to UpToDate through the SUNY Downstate Medical Research Library is slated to be discontinued due to changes in state purchasing requirements. Please join our plea & sign this petition to President Wayne J. Riley, MD, MPH, MBA, MACP to reconsider this budgeting decision.

We, the medical community of SUNY Downstate, request the university president and budgeting committee to reconsider the non-renewal status of UpToDate. For point-of-care evidence based information, UpToDate is unrivaled. We have reviewed the editorial policies of both UpToDate and the alternative offered, as well as their evidence-based assessments, access to CME/CE credits, and patient resources. Our conclusion, UpToDate is by far a superior resource and should be maintained as integral to both our educational and practice resources. Please consider our plea!!!
