The San Antonio Riverwalk has for many decades decorated the River lined trees with Christmas lights that twinkle... (meaning they blink independently) They are unique to San Antonio and what makes the season so special. A recent City council vote in favor of replacing these lights with LED lights, as a cost saving measure.
The cost to replace this lights will be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars and will not see a cost saving for several decades according to the council own accounting. Not to mention ruin the overall appeal of the Riverwalk during the Holidays.
We ask that the City Council repeal this vote and continue using the twinkle lights.
