In years past the Spanish Red Cross conducted a project in which they constructed a hospital in the small, rural village of Jatari Campesino, Ecuador.

Due to the economic state of Jatari Campesino they have not been able to continue to fund and upkeep the hospital on their own and it now stands as an empty storage space.

The people have to travel an hour away to get any medical attention, though the service is not satisfactory due to the overwhelming racism towards the aboriginals living in rural Ecuador.

This is also what has prevented the citizens from asking for help on their own.

We, the undersigned, call upon the Red Cross to resume the funding of doctors and equipment/medical supplies in the hospital they constructed, so as the citizens can live and prosper in a healthy environment.
