Proposal: Demolition of the Pensby Hotel and the erection of the three storey
60 Bed Care Home.
This petition opposes the proposal.
We, the undersigned, call upon Wirral Borough Council to reject APP/15/00244; the demolition of The Pensby Hotel and erection of a three-storey 60-bed care home for older people.
The Pensby Hotel is an iconic and much loved non-designated heritage asset within Pensby & Thingwall, as defined within paragraph 135 of the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF). As such, The Pensby Hotel should have the protections detailed within Paragraphs 128-131 of the NPPF afford to it.
It is vital that this valued non-designated heritage asset be preserved for future generations to enjoy.
