Rhosllannerchrugog Community Council are campaigning to Save the NatWest bank from closing in Market Street from September 1st 2014. The local branch is moving to Chester which will effect many local people and businesses in the surrounding area of Rhos, Johnstown, Penycae, and Ponciau.
The closing of this branch will also see 2 members of staff lose their jobs. The NatWest have said they are doing this as more and more people are choosing to use other ways to bank with them. This is not always the case as many local people do not have access to on-line facilities or can afford to travel given the reduction in bus services and fare increases.
Please sign the petition and lobby your local councillor, Assembly member or MP to ask NetWest to rethink their proposal.
