The King William pub in High Street Talke Pits is to be closed on the orders of NUL BC Licensing department on the 22nd December 2014 due to noise issues and complaints from local residents.

The new owners have done a fantastic job of turning the venue around in recent month's, however a few residents are asking for this lovely pub to be closed 3 days before christmas at the loss of 8 jobs. This is the most busiest time for local pubs (Christmas Period) The loss of this pub to the locals would be devastating, the entertainment has been fantastic in bringing in both regulars and further afield patrons.

The owners have complied will everything asked of them and unfortunately this is still not enough.

Too many pub's are closing, we already have a monumental eyesore that is the Skylark sitting empty.

Therefore we need to try and preserve this local pub that was built in the 1800's.

Please sign this petition to help keep the King William Pub Open, there entertainment license in tact and local jobs saved.

We, the undersigned, call on Newcastle Under Lyme Brough Council Licensing Department to review the closure of the King William Public House, High Street, Talke Pits on 22nd December 2014 and prevent the loss of a fantastic pub and 8 jobs.
