We do not agree with the 2012 NHL CBA discussions and the lack of urgency on both sides to get an agreement in place. While it seems that this is an issue between the NHL and the NHLPA, the money in question is actually coming from us - the fans.

As the suppliers of revenue, we also have a right to demand our say in the negotiations and to lockout the NHL if we see fit.

As Canadian hockey fans, we support teams that haven't made the playoffs in years; we can easily support this petition.

As NHL fans, we will expedite the CBA discussions by agreeing to the following:

1) Begin our own lockout of the NHL (NHL merchandise) beginning on November 2nd if the NHL and NHLPA cannot come to an agreement.

2) Continue to lockout the NHL at the cost of ONE MONTH to every one week the NHL lockout continues. The lockout would now include NHL merchandise and NHL game attendance. i.e. if the lockout ends on November 9; the fan lockout ends on December 9.

3) If the 2012-2013 season is cancelled, the fans will lockout the NHL (NHL merchandise and game attendance) for the entire 2013-2014 season.
