Thank you to everyone who signed and supported this campaign. With the help of this petition we can confirm that South Cave Post Office will remain at the same premises offering the same services. Thank you to all for the support and help.
The government wants to relocate 4800 sub Post Offices into convenience stores. This would result in the end of the village Post Office as it is known now.
These new "Local" Post Offices as they would be known would only be able to offer a limited service so you would not be able to do all the transactions there that you can at your Post Office now.
We aim to collect as many signatures that we can to stop this and we will present our petition to 10 Downing Street.
We also want to encourage people to please write to your local M.P. about this.
We, the undersigned, call on the Government to protect our Village Post Office and stop the closure of Post Offices.
