The former Liverpool home of Ringo Starr is likely to be demolished by Liverpool Council.

Ringo Starr, whose real name is Richard Starkey, was born in 10 Madryn Street in Liverpool on 7 July 1940. His family lived there for only three months before moving the short distance to Admiral Grove.

Although he only spent a short time living in Madryn Street, Ringo returned regularly during his childhood as members of his family continued to live there.

We, the undersigned, call upon Liverpool Council to abandon plans to demolish 10 Madryn Street, Liverpool widely known as the childhood home of Richard Starkey, aka Ringo Starr.

Demolition would not only remove the house but also the history and the memories of which it holds for Liverpool and it's people.

We are calling upon you to help keep the memories of the city alive and continue to support the history this house holds.
