Throughout the years, Stanley Quarter Pond has been a place where many fond memories have been born for us all, but now there is a fear that soon the blue-green algae will take over the pond completely.
The alga that has formed has brought with it a distinct odor and has taken away from the beauty of the pond. As the condition of the pond continues to worsen, many worry that children in the future will not be able to enjoy the pond at Stanley Quarter Park.
If nothing is done to solve this problem, the algae will only continue to invade the pond. However, you can help.
We will be speaking to the common council about cleaning the pond. By signing this petition, you help to strengthen our neighborhood voice.
