Save our Children: Implement the Children Act (2012)

It's been 25 years since the United Nations (UN) introduced the Convention on the Rights of Children ( CRC). This was ratified by our Trinidad & Tobago Government in 1991.
Yet in 2014 our Children are not adequately protected under the law. We are forced to comply with the outdated and insufficient Children Act (1925). This Act which was updated in 2012, has still not been implemented by our government.
Why?
We the undersigned demand that the Government of the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago, cease all delays, and implement the Children Act (2012) with immediate effect.
