The legend that is Milton Johns is being replaced as announcer, post-race presenter and auctioneer at Lingfield Park to be replaced by a chap by the name of Steve Watts. This is an appalling decision and one which needs reversing.
Milton has said about this:
"One of the stipulations was that I could carry on conducting the auctions, but I'd get no commission, and I was also expected to go round giving tips in the hospitality boxes before races, even though the rules say that an announcer has to be in the weighing room for the hour before racing."
"I wrote back saying I would be happy to continue working under the same conditions as I have done for ten years. But on Thursday I received another very short letter saying I hadn't been successful."

We, the undersigned, call on Lingfield Park to reverse their decision to terminate the services of Milton Johns, and have him carry on as the course announcer.
