This petition of citizens of Queensland draws to the attention of the House:
Re instate the Maryborough Base Hospital , back to its normal services. At moment patients who require many of the hospital services are not available in Maryborough and they are required to travel to Hervey Bay, Nor do we want Hervey Bay Hospital closed.
There are many services required in our local area and we want our hospital back to normal services.
This petition is not about us versus them (Hervey Bay), this is all about re instating Maryborough Hospital's services - such as, oncology, skin treatment, maternity just to name a few !
This petition is not about Hervey Bay hospital , we need Hervey Bay Hospital to stay as a hospital. Maryborough and surrounding area's needs the "BASE" back up and running & be fully functional as it once was !

This petition of citizens of Queensland draws to the attention of the House:
The lack of services provided by the Maryborough Base Hospital due to ongoing downgradings of the Hospital and patients required to travel past this Hospital to the Hervey Bay Hospital which is over crowded and cannot cope with servicing the entire Fraser Coast / Wide Bay region.
Your petitioners therefore ask the House to:
Make funding available to restore the Maryborough Base Hospital to a fully functioning Hospital to better service the Fraser Coast region as the main facility.
Save our Maryborough Hospital. As most people are aware in Maryborough and surrounding area's that we have lost most of our crucial medical services at the Maryborough Base Hospital.
We are trying to get our local hospital back in action as it use to be, before the Hervey Bay was built. We are all aware the strain on Hervey Bay with it being the main hospital, some 30km's away.
Let's get everyone to sign this petition and get our hospital back to where it use to be. Functional and services reinstated for everyone !
