CVS Pharmacy is wanting to remove the Lonestar Steakhouse to put up a new business for theirselves. This will cause nearly 200 people to lose their jobs with Lonestar Steakhouse, for them to place another pharmacy directly across from a pharmacy.
This business will only employ approximately 50 for their business leaving several hundred unemployed.
We the undersigned citizens of Springfield, Mo wish to prevent the closing of Lonestar Steakhouse. Lonestar Steakhouse has been a thriving business at the corner of Battlefield St. and Campbell Ave. for 22 years. CVS Pharmacy wishes to end this restaurant to be able to place a pharmacy in its place.
This will be in direct competition with the Walgreens Pharmacy located across the street and Wal-Mart, which is down the street. If CVS is adamant on placing a pharmacy in this area there is other vacant locations in the area to build on instead of making the employees of Lonestar Steakhouse unemployed and leaving Springfield citizens minus a great restaurant they have grown to enjoy and love.
