Liverpool FC owes a debt to RBS (a majority nationally owned Bank). Debt has been incurred by two owners who have decimated a national heritage and great football institution that is Liverpool FC. RBS have extended loans by the two owners. I am calling all Liverpool fans and all UK citizens to sign this petition to ask the Government to call in this debt and offer no more extensions.
We are as a nation trying to reduce our deficit and £250m would certainly help. Enough is enough let us get our money back from the owners who are not even citizens here. RBS should be calling in the debt and forcing the sale of the club where everyone will be a winner. The nation get their money back and Liverpool FC get rid of these owners.
We, the undersigned call on the UK Government to call in the debt that is owed by Liverpool FC and refuse any further extension in the payment of this debt.
Our tax money went in bailing out RBS and we have a right to demand the Government to call in this debt which will help realise some of the money that has gone in bailing out RBS.
