On 21 March Knowsley Community College officially announced its intention to close its Kirkby campus based in the borough of Knowsley. The college has claimed it has consulted with all the major stakeholders in arriving at its decision however staff, students and local businesses claim no such consultation has taken place.
We are calling for a halt to the closure of this modern campus, pending a full consultation period with students, staff and local businesses.
We the undersigned call upon Steve Logan, Principal Knowsley Community College and the college Governing Body to halt the closure of the Kirkby campus and enter into a full period of consultation with Students, Staff, Local Businesses, MPs and Council Leaders.
