BUPA is cancelling their Living Well program as of July 2017.

BUPA is making changes to their customers policy's without consultation with their members or the options to stop these changes to their individual policies.
BUPA has created a 'new' version of this program as the replacement, however it doesn't provide any rebate for health programs, just a discount coupon to 'big name' companies - INCLUDING discounts of other BUPA products.

The Living Well program has been around from the old MBF days and many individuals and families have claimed for swimming lessons, gym memberships, yoga and pilates each year. Most policies contribute a $100 (individual) towards this, when accompanied with a form from the Dr or Physio for a medical condition.

Other health funds are keeping these policies, for example HCF generally contributes $150 and Teacher's Health Union $200 per year. BUPA's explanation is it's changing the policy due to legal changes which affect gym memberships, however I wish to save the remainder of the Living Well program.

BUPA also states its feedback from customers is this is a frustrating claim to make, however I'm sure most of BUPA's member would prefer the hassle of a bit of paperwork than discount coupons to services they probably don't want or need.

In my view this is a cost cutting exercise for BUPA without consulting it's members, and I find it very difficult to accept BUPA can change my current policy (not a new policy) without my consent.

We BUPA customers request not to cancel the Living Well Program and replace it with a lacking 'promotional' product.

Or to have the option on electing to keep the old Living Well Program (excluding gym due to legal reasons) instead of the new BUPA Plus.

BUPA also needs to carefully consider not making changes to individual's current policies without their consent or consultation.
