We have been notified that the thriving Post Office in Bulkington Co-op store is to be closed next year, meaning our local community will suffer.
We have a number of older residential housing associations located in Bulkington who utilise this valuable service. The surrounding local villages also use Bulkington as their local post office.
We, the undersigned, protest the Co-Op decision to close Bulkington Post Office by the end of February 2016 and call on the Post Office & Co-Op to recognise their obligations to customers & staff, and produce a plan for continuation of the service in its present location.
Failing that, to join talks with interested parties to secure its relocation within Bulkington & continuation of the current service.
