With the 2 tier system being the recommended change for school in the Suffolk area, the PTA of Bacton have proposed a alternative model.
The alternative model is a All Through model that would allow future students to access the facilities and resources of Bacton Middle School.
The two tier model will cause financial and emotional disruption for all students and will cause important delays in their education. By keeping Bacton Middle School and the resources and excellent staff it will maintain the education of the children and will promote them to healthy responsible mature individuals ready to attend a High School setting.
The change from a three tier system to a two tier system will cost the Local Authority over 5 million pounds to make the improvements to the primary and High schools. To maintain Bacton Middle school will cost considerably less.
We, the undersigned, would like the proposal for an all-through model of schooling to be considered equally with the two-tier model at the stakeholders meeting on Tuesday 26th June 2012.
