Many Lighthouses that have high popularity are being renovated and taken care of, which is grand. But what of the ones that are long gone, and long abandoned? There are many of those that are neglected and it's time something changes.
I would like to see ALL of America's Lighthouses renovated and updated, including recreating the "lost" lighthouses, so that these magnificent lights may still be part of our history yet today, and for the future.
I am only once voice, but I believe I am strong enough to ask everyone to please sign this petition of saving our country's many lighthouses! I know that there many repairs going on - but only on the ones that are most popular. How about the ones that most people have forgotten?
I would love for the government to restore the ones that need it, and recreate exact replicas of the original ones that once stood on our soil. We have such a wonderful country, why not make it better by proving to the heart of our nation, that we strive to preserve and help these magnificent buildings that were once built to help people such as our families. I bet no one would like it if we all forgot Cape Hatteras, Cape Umpqua or Cape Elizabeth, or even Cape Fear.
Let us unite together in saving our country's lighthouses!
