There has been NO olympic rugby tournament since 1924 when when the U.S.A defended their title against France and Romania. While it would be unrealistic to put on a 15-a-side Tournament at London 2012, A Sevens tournament would be an exciting way to reintroduce the great sport to the games.
The list of countries and stars that could participate would be amazing and bring exposure to a great form of the game. An example would be the sevens at the commonwealth games and how almost every game was rammed to capacity.
Now imagine that with the best names in world rugby. I think every rugby fan would agree, it would be something special.
We ,the undersigned, believe that ther should be a Rugby sevens tournament at the London olympics in 2012, showing the world how exciting this form of the game is.
