Rosaline Babalola is a 63 year old grandmother from Nigeria who has lived in Blackpool since April 2012. Rosaline acts as a carer for her grown up daughter who suffers from post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), regular blackouts and other debilitating conditions and also for her four grandchildren who are settled in Blackpool and attend local schools. Despite her case being in the middle of legal proceedings Rosaline was detained by UK Borders Agency officials on 25th January 2018 and is now being held at Yarl’s Wood immigration detention centre. Rosaline suffers from diabetes and hypertension and needs daily medication to manage these conditions.
