We are submitting this petition in support of keeping the Golf Manor Fire Department as our primary first responders.
Their tenure and dependable service have provided a great sense of security to the residents of Ridgewood and they have been a great partner to our community for 60 years.
We are very concerned because the momentous decision being contemplated by the Columbia Township Trustees directly impacts our ability to get emergency help quickly in order to save lives and protect property. We also feel that the proximity of the Golf Manor Fire Department serves to enhance our property values.
We believe we have not been given adequate information to understand the facts and figures being used in the decision making process and do not have the comfort of knowing that our concerns are being taken into consideration properly. This lack of information has created an environment in which we are left to envision difficult and possibly dangerous circumstances for our families, our neighbors, ourselves and our homes.
We, the undersigned Ridgewood residents, strongly urge Columbia Township to continue the ongoing relationship with Golf Manor Fire Department.
We value the long standing relationship and quality service the Golf Manor Fire Department has provided. We believe a change in Fire/EMS service provider would not benefit our community.
We would like to be informed of the facts and figures being used to reach the decision being contemplated, who the decision makers are and the process used to reach that decision.
