There are thousands, perhaps even millions of American citizens who are waiting to be approved for Social Security Disability. Many of them have been waiting for years. That is a very long time to try to survive with no income. Many attempt suicide at least once during their waiting. Some even die before they are approved.
Our Social Security Disability approval system must be revised. It is a shame that American citizens must go through the fear, the shame and the general degradation of not being able to contribute to their personal care, or to the care of their families.
Dear Mr. President,
We, the undersigned call on the United States Government to revise the Social Security Disability approval system in order that the wait time between application and approval, can be shortened to months instead of the years that it takes to be approved, as it stands now.
