The many small parks and children's playgrounds within the City of Greater Dandenong area are not being maintained to a level which is acceptable to the residents of the city. In many instances maintenance is little more than a 4 or 5 weekly slashing of the grasses which are left to rot and smell.
The general appearance is of an area in neglect which does not equate with the local residents aspirations to be part of a residential area that reflects a degree of pride in its appearance.
We, the undersigned call upon John Bennie the CEO of the City of Greater Dandenong to take action to improve the poor standard of park maintenance that exists at present.
As ratepayers we are entitled to expect the same high standards that other councils are able to provide and not the existing slip shod methodology that you provide at this point of time.
This problem now runs into a time frame of years so no excuses about the present weather patterns are acceptable.
