Revamping Columbia County Animal Services

Columbia County Animal Services has failed to do their job on multiple occasions in protecting the citizens of Columbia County as well as the animals.

Children are being attacked by dogs, dogs are being killed by vicious dogs, animals not being vaccinated, and animals are being neglected due to Columbia County Animal Services failing to make reports or even follow up on reports that have been made at the management levels.

Also as per my conversation with the Manager, Linda Glasscock, has no knowledge of animal instances occurring in the county and stated that enforcing Georgia State laws is too much work. A person at this level of management should have full knowledge of all instances occurring in the county especially when a 2 year old child is attacked by an animal.

We as a community need to come together and have the employees of the Columbia County Animal Services revamped and bring together a service that places the citizens and animals of the county their first priority and not be self serving management for the purpose of solely drawing a paycheck.
