Coca-Cola sales/vend Machines in N. Carolina were banned in response to Coca Cola's comments about Georgia voter laws being unfair.
Who do the commissioners represent? It sure can't be the people, when they support voter suppression laws.
The ban led by Commissioner Harris, was passed during a Board of Commissioners meeting on May 17 with a 3-2 vote as a direct response to Coca-Cola CEO James Quincey's comments calling the Georgia voting laws" unacceptable" and "a step backwards."
Harris, in a quote to Today news stated, "Our Board felt that was the best way to take a stand and express our disappointment in Coca-Cola's actions, which are not representative of most views of our citizens," Does Harris think.? that the average citizen likes having their rights taken away. Seems more likely that, he must be trying to increase his kickback revenue from Pepsi Corp. by reducing access to the competitors product.
In Summary: The Manipulation, and misuse of Mr. Harris position, is a clear ethics violation for personal interests. His actions are contrary to the oath of his appointment to office, to uphold the Constitution, his actions, by supporting the modification of citizens rights, and promotion of voter suppression laws, clearly shows a lack of commitment, to represent the best interests of the citizens who elected him to office.
Commissioner Harris, We the voting citizens of the United States of America, Demand your immediate unconditional resignation, for recent actions that are a clear bid of support for Voter Suppression Laws. In your show of support, by the action of removal of Coca-Cola vending machines, and products. Your actions were imposed, as a penalty for Coke's statement.
