This petition was started by Ed Emmons and the Citizens of Pekin Illinois to Request Mayor Lyn Howard of Pekin, Illinois Resign from his position as Mayor immediately.
As Charges of Official MisConduct have been alleged against Mayor Howard and he himself has admitted using a City Credit Card for his personal use to obtain funds for the purpose of gambling on the Paradise Casino.
We the Citizens of Pekin, Illinois do hereby want the Mayor to recognise that he did commit a wrongful act upon the citizens of Pekin, by gambling with a City (taxpayer) Credit Card for his personal use,and therefore should resign.
The Citizens of Pekin, Illinois on this 27th day of July, 2005, do hereby request the immediate Resignation of Mayor Lyn Howard from his current position as Mayor. As charges of Official Misconduct have been alleged against Mayor Howard, and he himself has admitted to using a city of Pekin credit card for his personal use to obtain funds and gamble with on the Paradise Casino.
Therefore we, the citizens of Pekin feel that it is in the best interest of the City of Pekin, that Mayor Howard resign his position of Mayor immediately.
