Take a moment to read some of these articles.
You will see that gov't funded articles support RLC's but independent studies do not. The STL news report says it best.

The last link shown gives several articles that prove RLC's are more dangerous, not safer.... Form your own opinion.

Red lights should be enforced "first-person" and a citation issued "first-person". An individual could get hundreds of RLC violations, pay them and continue driving, while a person who gets just a few citations will have their driving privileges suspended. Where is the safety in that one might ask...

We, the people of the great state of Texas, demand that the RLC's laws in this state be deemed unconstitutional and removed.

Numerous independent studies how shown over time they are not an effective safety counter-measure and in fact, increase rear-end accidents, thereby having a negative effect on consumers, insurance premiums, and public safety.

In addition, several cities in the state of Texas are now placing "holds" on vehicle registrations as a method of coercing constituents into paying an otherwise unconstitutional penalty.
