- NBC (National Broadcasting Company), TNT (Turner Network Television), Dick Wolf (and Wolf Films)
In May 2010; NBC canceled the original "Law & Order" which lasted on televison for 20 years (premiereing in 1990); almost breaking the record as longest running primetime TV drama. NBC moved the series to it's weakest night in primetime [Monday 10/9c] which resulted in a ratings decline (and lack of trying to make deals with creator Dick Wolf to keep renewing it) and caused NBC to cancel it.
In May 2011; NBC canceled it's direct spin-off "Law & Order: LA" after NBC yanked it off the air for over 4 months (to retool which helped it) and moved it to it's weakest night in primetime [Monday 10/9c] which resulted in a ratings decline and caused NBC to cancel it.
What more do I need to say? Other than NBC is Nothing But Crooks. First Jeff Zucker axes the original series, then Robert Greenblatt kills the direct spin-off.
We, the undersigned, call on Dick Wolf and Turner Network Television to make a deal to: renew the original "Law & Order" for a 21st season and "Law & Order: LA" for a second season.
These two series make the "Law & Order" franchise in the U.S. what it is because it represents the police and the district attorneys who deal with New York City and Los Angeles crime; no other shows go to great links to show crime for what it is... don't let NBC succeed in making their biggest mistakes in history!
The Renew "Law & Order" and "Law & Order: LA" on TNT petition to NBC (National Broadcasting Company), TNT (Turner Network Television), Dick Wolf (and Wolf Films) was written by Anonymous and is in the category Television at GoPetition.
