Please join me in helping to convince the Vineland Board of Education to name Vineland's newest school after one of its exemplary citizens. Vineland has a rich tradition of naming its public schools in memory of former Vineland residents that have, in some way, impacted this town. If the board allows community input, I will be honored to nominate Army Ranger, Sgt Dominick Pilla, killed in action, in Mogadishu, Somalia. Dominick was an elite Army Ranger, a standout soldier, and a product of the Vineland Public School District.
We, the undersigned, respectfully request the Vineland Board of Education to allow community input in the naming of Vineland's newest school, the Lincoln Avenue Middle School, as per district policy 7250.
