I was molested by my oldest brother as a child. I went to file charges against him yesterday and because I didn't do it before he turned 18 I can not do anything. The SVU told me to basically get counseling and suck it up and get over it.
As a child I was afraid to tell because he would tell me that he would kill me and my mother or he would put bugs on me just to ensure his secret was safe.
Now that I am an adult, I want to do something about it, especially now that I am no longer afraid.
People should support my petition because it is for women all over the world who have been molested and who want to press charges but the statute of limitations hinders them from doing so.
We, the undersigned, call on lawmakers to remove all statute of limitations in all states on crimes that involve the sexual abuse of children.
