As residents in the vicinity of Msawawa, we are tired of the illegal shebeens in the Squatter camp.
The Shebeens are a source of noise pollution, and a place where illegal sale of alcohol and drugs takes place.
We are standing together as a community to ensure that the law is upheld in this regards.
We, the undersigned, call on Mrs Casey Kotzenmacher to ensure that the South African Police Service (SAPS) and the Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) carry out their duty in closing down any establishment that is creating noise, and illegally selling alcohol and/or drugs on Portions 15 & 16 Houtkoppen, also known as Msawawa Squatter camp.
