Plant Hill Park in Higher Blackley & Cooper Lane Park (Higher Blackley Recreational Ground) in Higher Blackley are being constantly abused by youths who congregate around the sheltered seating areas of both parks.
They set fires within the seating areas almost on a nightly basis, causing stress and fear for nearby residents and also wasting valuable services of local fire services and sometimes police.
It has been proven that other parks within the same area that have had these sheltered areas removed have seen a vast improvement in ASB (anti social behaviour).
We are asking for residents to sign this petition if they feel that the removal of sheltered seating areas would improve their local parks.
